Tracey Ray

Tracey Ray is an experienced forensic science professional with a strong background in assessment and compliance for various laboratories. As an A2LA Assessor since March 2016, Tracey leads assessments for organizations in forensic, cannabis, chemical, and microbiological fields, ensuring adherence to ISO standards. In addition to this role, Tracey operates as a private consultant, conducting forensic case reviews, providing training, and guiding laboratories on accreditation compliance. Prior experience includes serving as a Quality Director and Lab Director at AVAT LLC, where responsibilities included developing quality policies and analytical testing for cannabis products, as well as overseeing the Crime Laboratory Division in Douglas County, Nebraska. Tracey's career also includes significant positions at the Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department and CSU-Pueblo, focusing on trace evidence analysis and forensic education. Tracey holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Forensic Science and related fields from the University of New Haven and a certificate in Surgical Technology from Quincy College.
