Iona Bird

Iona Bird has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. In 2009, they served as the Financial Controller for J&D Rigging Pty Ltd, where they contributed to financial operations until 2016. From 2012 to 2018, they worked as a Global Accountant at Iona Business Solution. In 2017, Bird took on the role of Financial Controller on a maternity contract at Cowboys Leagues Club. In 2016, they joined A2X, first as the Global Head of Customer Success, where they played a significant role in the growth and success of the organization in the ecommerce accounting industry. Later, they transitioned to becoming the Global Head of Finance at A2X from July 2021 until March 2022, responsible for financial strategy development, budgeting, and forecasting. In 2022, Bird held the position of Non Executive Director at a private company and now serves as the Head of Customer Experience and People at A2X.

Iona Bird has pursued their education in various fields throughout their career. Iona obtained a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and Business/Management from the University of South Australia, and also completed a Certificate in Governance and Risk Management from the Governance Institute of Australia. Additionally, they obtained a Diploma of Management from Open Colleges, with a focus on Management. Iona further enhanced their knowledge by completing a Diploma in Finance, specializing in Accounting and Finance, from the Australian College AED. Currently, they are pursuing an Executive MBA from Griffith University, which they are expected to complete in 2024. Iona also holds additional certifications, including a Bachelor's Degree in Business Accounting from the University of South Australia, a Cert IV Frontline Business Management from Frontline Resources, a Diploma of Finance from Australian College QED, a Diploma of Management from Open Colleges, and a Rehabilitation & Return to Work Coordinator certification from the Australian College.
