Jamie Shulman has a diverse work experience spanning different industries and roles. Starting in 1990, they co-founded and served as president of J&J LIDS until 1993. Jamie then worked as an attorney at Torys LLP from 1997 to 1999 and as an attorney at Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati LLP from 1999 to 2002. From 2002 to 2005, Jamie worked as an Assistant General Counsel at Inovis/QRS Corporation, where they managed the Contracts Department and played a role in negotiating a $116 million cash merger agreement. In 2006, they served as Vice President, Digital at Indigo Books and Music. In 2007, Jamie co-founded and served as the Vice President of Operations at Sparkroom, an online marketing company that was later sold to Nelnet Inc. In 2011, they co-founded Hubdoc, where they held the role of Co-Founder and Co-CEO until 2020. Most recently, Jamie joined A2X in November 2021 as Head of Accounting.
Jamie Shulman's education history begins with their attendance at Upper Canada College from 1979 to 1989. Following this, they pursued a Bachelor's degree in International Relations at Brown University from 1989 to 1993. It was during this period that Jamie Shulman also began their studies at the University of Toronto, where they obtained a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from the Faculty of Law between 1993 and 1997. Additionally, between the same years, Jamie Shulman pursued an MBA at the University of Toronto - Rotman School of Management.
