Jónas Birgisson

Jónas Birgisson has a diverse work experience in finance and accounting. Jónas held the position of CFO at A4 since 2020. Prior to that, they worked as CFO at TREX Hópferðamiðstöðin ehf from 2019 to 2020. From 2017 to 2019, they were the CFO at Gaman ferðir, where they provided professional leadership and management over the financial department. Jónas also worked as the Finance Manager at deCODE genetics from 2012 to 2017, where they had responsibilities in accounting, cost control, and financial reporting. Jónas started their career as an Accounting Specialist at Kaupthing Bank from 2009 to 2012 and at KPMG from 2008 to 2009, where they gained experience in audit, accounting, tax, and financial advisory work for various companies. Additionally, Jónas served as the Chief Accountant at Ölgerðin hf from 2000 to 2007, where they managed the accounts of multiple companies and participated in financial planning.

Jónas Birgisson attended Háskóli Íslands from 1996 to 2000, where they obtained a Cand. oecon degree in Accounting and Finance.
