Alex Algard

Alex Algard is an accomplished entrepreneur and leader with significant experience in technology and identity verification. As the CEO and Founder of Hiya Inc. since April 2016, Alex focuses on modernizing voice calls and enhancing security against spam and fraud. Alex also co-founded A5 Capital in October 2022. Previously, Alex founded and served as Chairman of Ekata, which provided identity verification services and was acquired by Mastercard in June 2021. Alex also founded and led Whitepages, the leading people search platform in the U.S., from 1996 to 2016, and co-founded CarDomain Network, a major online community for automotive enthusiasts. Early in the career, Alex worked as an analyst for Goldman Sachs and as an intern at Morgan Stanley. Alex holds a BA in Economics (Honors) and an MS in Mechanical Engineering (Mechatronics/Smart Product Design) from Stanford University.
