Jake Nelson

Jake Nelson is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in traffic safety advocacy and public health. Since November 2008, Jake has served as the Director of Traffic Safety Advocacy & Research at AAA National Office, focusing on negotiating partnerships with various organizations and advocating for safety measures at federal levels. Prior to this role, Jake was the Manager of the Health Information Services Division at the Village of Oak Park Department of Public Health, overseeing public health advocacy initiatives and acting as chief epidemiologist. Earlier career positions include being a Research Associate in Traffic Safety Policy & Advocacy at AAA and working as a Clinical Research Coordinator at Ryder Trauma Center. Jake's educational background includes a Master of Public Policy from the University of Chicago and a Master of Public Health from The George Washington University, along with a Bachelor of Science in Human Biology from the University of Michigan.
