Alison Paylor

Director, Training & Technology Services at AAAE

Alison Paylor has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Alison started their career at Westminster at Lake Ridge as an Administrative Assistant from December 2012 to January 2014. Alison then worked as a Video Production Assistant at Untamed Science in May 2014.

In 2014, Alison joined ViiMed® as a Digital Media Coordinator, where they contributed significantly to the design and management of internal and client multimedia needs. Alison worked on various projects, including videos, press releases, photographs, and other digital content.

From 2013 to 2017, Alison worked as a Freelance Media Consultant/Videographer, where they directed, filmed, and edited documentaries about Connemara Marble in Ireland and Spring Village in Harrisonburg, Virginia. Alison also presented their work at the 2017 Geological Society of America national conference.

Alison's next role was at Freddie Mac, where they worked in Media Services starting in February 2016. Alison managed a team responsible for broadcasting media presentations and events nationally. Alison also played a significant role in expanding the internal live broadcast team and infrastructure to meet the growing demand for video content.

Currently, Alison is working at AAAE as the Director of Training & Technology Services, a role they assumed in July 2022. Alison is responsible for overseeing training programs and implementing technological solutions within the organization.

Alison Paylor pursued their undergraduate studies at James Madison University from 2010 to 2014. There, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Media Arts & Design/Earth Sciences. Later, they enrolled in George Mason University to further their education in the field of Science Communications, although the specific time frames and degree completion information are not available.
