Willis N. has extensive work experience in the field of medicine and biotechnology. Willis currently serves as the Vice President at Aadi Bioscience, Inc. since December 2021. Before that, they worked as an Adjunct Professor of Medicine at the University of Minnesota starting from December 2019. Prior to that, they worked as the Vice President at Atara Biotherapeutics from July 2014 to December 2021. Willis also worked as an Associate Clinical Professor of Medicine at UCSF from April 1999 to December 2019. Willis has also held roles as the Vice President and Medical Director at National Marrow Donor Program from July 2008 to July 2014 and as an Assistant Medical Director at Genentech from August 2005 to June 2008.

Willis N. attended Palisades High School but did not obtain a degree. Willis then went on to complete their Bachelor of Arts degree in Chemistry at Brown University from 1982 to 1986. Later, they attended the University of California, San Francisco - School of Medicine from 1986 to 1990. After that, they pursued an Internal Medicine Residency Program at Yale-New Haven Hospital from 1990 to 1993. Finally, from 1995 to 1999, Willis N. completed Hematology/Oncology and BMT Fellowships at UCSF.
