Monica Lopez

Monica Lopez is an experienced accounting professional currently serving as Assistant Controller and previously as Senior Accountant at AAFMAA since April 2021. Prior to AAFMAA, Monica held positions at SES Satellites as an Accountant, where responsibilities included managing manual journal entries in SAP and overseeing accounting service providers. Additional experience includes working as a General Ledger Staff Accountant at Guest Services, Inc., and as an Accounts Payable Associate at Paramount Services, Inc. Monica began their career as a Peer Accounting Tutor at Northern Virginia Community College and has held an administrative role at AgroAguazul. Monica holds an Associate's degree and a Career Studies Certificate in Accounting from Northern Virginia Community College and a Bachelor's degree in International Business from Universidad Internacional del Tropico Américano.
