Daniel New possesses extensive experience in government affairs within the hospitality and restaurant sectors. Currently serving as the Senior Director of Government Affairs at AAHOA since March 2023, Daniel New focuses on developing federal and state/local legislative strategies to support hotel owners. Previously, as the Director of State Government Affairs for the Eastern Division, responsibilities included managing state and local issues affecting independent and franchisee hotel owners. Daniel New's background also includes roles at the Georgia Restaurant Association, where advocacy and project management were key responsibilities, as well as board membership at the ATL Airport District Convention & Visitors Bureau, contributing to community growth. Additionally, Daniel New served on the advisory board for Kennesaw State University's Culinary Apprenticeship program, emphasizing relationship building and legislative relations.
