Gabe Nell is a highly experienced software engineer with a strong background in communications systems and cloud technology. Currently employed at Aalyria since January 2024, Gabe focuses on free-space optical communications systems. Prior experience includes significant roles at Google from March 2016 to January 2024, working on various projects related to Google Cloud and optical communication systems. Gabe also contributed to the success of OneWeb, Ltd by simulating a satellite network and assisting in fundraising efforts. As a software architect and studio CTO at Zynga, Gabe served as the chief engineer for Zynga Beijing. Further experience includes co-founding Kikini and serving as a back-end architect, as well as leading software initiatives at Microsoft for Windows Phone and Windows Mobile. Gabe holds a BS in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the University of California, Berkeley, and an MEng in Electrical and Computer Engineering from UC San Diego.
