Ian Rudnik

Ian Rudnik is a seasoned metallurgy and materials science professional with extensive experience in the automotive and energy sectors. Currently serving as Metallurgy Manager at AAM - American Axle & Manufacturing and as a Materials Science Engineer at UMBRAGROUP since November 2019, Ian has previously held roles including Plant Metallurgist at Nexteer Automotive, where responsibilities included managing metallurgical labs and overseeing heat treatment processes. Other notable positions include Engineer at Hunting Energy Services, where Ian specialized in explosive charge development, and roles at Frost Inc. and Paulstra CRC, focusing on engineering best practices and mechanical testing, respectively. Ian holds a Master’s degree in Materials Engineering from the New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology and a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Grand Valley State University.
