Steven Richards

Steven Richards is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in the automotive industry, currently serving as the Lead Data Analysis Engineer at AAM - American Axle & Manufacturing since July 2014. In this role, Steven specializes in the conversion of time series data into analytical formats and the establishment of reliability targets for computer-aided engineering (CAE). Prior to AAM, Steven held the position of Lead Application Engineer, focusing on the design and development of axle assemblies. Steven's career also includes a role as Resident Engineer at ZF Friedrichshafen, acting as a liaison to Chrysler, and a significant tenure at Chrysler, where responsibilities encompassed stress lab coordination, vehicle durability analysis, and project management for driveline components. Early experience includes project engineering roles at Holley Performance Products. Steven holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Michigan and a certification in Advanced Hybrid Propulsion from Michigan Technological University.
