David Nelson

David Nelson is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in software engineering and management, currently serving as Associate Director of Software at Boston Scientific since January 1998. Nelson has held various roles within the company, including Software Engineering Manager and Principal Systems Engineer. In addition to the work at Boston Scientific, Nelson has been a Teaching Faculty member at AAMI since January 2012, specializing in FDA Quality Systems Regulation, Design Controls, Software Validation, and ISO 13485. Prior roles include engineering positions at BF Goodrich Aerospace, Great Plains Software, and a co-op at IBM. Nelson holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering from North Dakota State University, earned between 1988 and 1993.
