Aan Charitable Trust is a non-profit organisation founded on the belief that small actions can create lasting social change. The word “Aan”, meaning dignity in Hindi, reflects our vision of ensuring dignity, awareness, and opportunity for all.
We work with adolescents, women, and communities across Uttarakhand and Delhi NCR through programmes focused on child protection, adolescent health, education, and women’s empowerment. Our initiatives align with the UN Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being), SDG 4 (Quality Education), and SDG 5 (Gender Equality).
Key initiatives include Bal Suraksha Jagrukta Abhiyan (child safety awareness), Adolescent Health & Well-being Initiative (menstrual health and nutrition), Project Srrijan (women’s skill development), Project Samvedna (community support during crises), and Kishori Uchh Shiksha Protsahan Yojna (KUSPY), promoting access to higher education for girls.
Aan also conducts Trainer of Trainers (ToT) programmes for teachers, counsellors, and community facilitators to strengthen capacity for delivering life skills, child safety, and adolescent health education at scale.
Through awareness, training, and partnerships, Aan works to build informed, confident, and resilient communities.
