Aanda Architects is an award-winning, women-owned architecture, design, and planning practice based in Brooklyn, NY and Philadelphia, PA. We specialize in partnering with institutions and mission-driven organizations to develop transformational and cost-conscious projects that align space with culture to amplify impact. 

We work at multiple scales, from the 62-branch Brooklyn Public Library to the 20,000 square foot Brown RISD Hillel Student Center to the intimate Brown University Chancellor’s Dining Room. We approach each project as a unique collaboration with our clients, and pride ourselves on the hands-on, engaged nature of our project stewardship, from concept through implementation. 

Aanda was recently recognized with a 2024 AIANYS design award for our work with the Brooklyn Public Library, and our work has been published in the New York Times, Architectural Record, Wallpaper, Dwell, and New York Magazine. 

Our diverse studio of architects and designers is led by partners Annie Barrett and Adriel Mesznik, whose collaborative partnership began over 15 years ago as classmates at the Harvard Graduate School of Design.
