Aangan — The Courtyard is a women's community organisation in the Greater Toronto Area creating intergenerational social spaces for Muslim women.

We started with a simple observation: younger Muslim women in the GTA have campus organisations, social events, and spaces to build friendships. Their mothers and older generations have the masjid, family, and very little else. The gap is real, and we're building something to close it.

Aangan creates consistent touchpoints where women of every age can show up, relax, and build lasting relationships over time — from casual potlucks and shalwar kameez chai nights to skill workshops, networking events, and Eid celebrations.

Our mission: to give Muslim women of every age and background a place to relax, connect, and build the community they deserve.
