Alison Baker

Vice President Child Community Health at AAP

Alison Baker has a strong background in child safety, health, and wellness. Alison began their career in 2001 as a Senior Program Manager at the University of New Mexico. In 2003, they joined the American Academy of Pediatrics and held various roles within the organization. Alison started as the Director of the Division of Safety & Health Promotion and remained in this position until 2018. From 2018 to 2020, they served as the Senior Director of Child Safety, Health & Wellness, and then moved on to become the Vice President of Child & Community Health, a position they currently hold.

Alison Baker began their education at the University of Notre Dame, where they pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from 1988 to 1992. After completing their undergraduate studies, they furthered their education at Penn State University from 1992 to 1994. There, they obtained a Master of Science degree in Human Development and Family Studies, with a focus on the general field of study.
