Dr. David Higgins, MD, MPH, is a double board-certified pediatrician and preventive medicine/public health specialist dedicated to the health of children and communities. Currently serving as Vice President of the Colorado Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics and faculty in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Colorado School of Medicine, Dr. Higgins also conducts health services research as a Principal Investigator at ACCORDS. With a background in community pediatrics and a focus on vaccine delivery and communication strategies, Dr. Higgins has contributed to numerous prestigious outlets and is a board member of Immunize Colorado. Their academic journey includes participation in the Howard Hughes Undergraduate Research Program and obtaining an MD from the University of Colorado School of Medicine, complemented by residency training in pediatrics and public health.
