Heather Fitzpatrick

Senior Manager, Emerging Threats & Disaster Management at AAP

Heather Fitzpatrick has a diverse work experience spanning several organizations. Heather started their career at Community Medical Alliance as a Data Analyst in 1994. From 1999 to 2005, they worked at Interfaith House as a Program Director. Following that, they joined the American Academy of Pediatrics in 2005, where they held roles such as Manager of Practice Management and Manager of Breastfeeding Initiatives. In 2010, they became the Executive Director of St. Mary's Services. Heather then returned to the American Academy of Pediatrics in 2011 as a Program Manager and has since held positions such as Manager of Prevention Initiatives and Director of the National Center on Early Childhood Health and Wellness. In their current role, they serve as a Program Manager, overseeing federally-funded projects focused on emerging threats to infants and children.

Heather Fitzpatrick obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Chemistry from DePaul University in 1994. Heather attended Boston University from 1994 to 1995, where they pursued a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree in Health Services Administration. In addition to their formal education, Heather has obtained several certifications, including "Leading with a Heavy Heart," "How to Build Credibility as a Leader," "How to Create a Career You Love," and "The Six Morning Habits of High Performers." These certifications were obtained from LinkedIn, with the most recent certification being obtained in September 2022.
