Jorell Silva began working in 2007 as a Pharmacy Technician at CVS Pharmacy, where they entered and dispensed customer prescriptions and ensured the accuracy of patient prescriptions. In 2009, they joined SCW FITNESS EDUCATION as a Registration Manager, implementing a cloud-based registration management platform and improving educational material updates. From 2011 to 2016, Jorell interned at Champaign County Christian Health Center and then worked as a Project Coordinator at Rouge Boutique Decor, overseeing website design and development. Since 2017, Jorell has been employed at the American Academy of Pediatrics and has held various roles, including Program Coordinator, National Conference & Exhibition, National Conference Project Specialist, and currently working as a Project Manager Live Education Activities. In these roles, Jorell has managed data and migration processes, maintained SharePoint hub sites, and ensured ACCME compliance. They have also performed market research, provided support to learners, and led data collection and distribution processes for physician continuing education.
Jorell Silva completed a Master of Science (MS) degree in Health Informatics from the University of Illinois Chicago, from 2016 to 2018. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Community Health from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, from 2007 to 2011. In addition to their formal education, Jorell also acquired several certifications, including "Data Analytics: Dashboards vs. Data Stories," "Impromptu Speaking," and "SQL Essential Training," all obtained through LinkedIn in November 2021, June 2020, and May 2020 respectively.
