Joseph Wright

Joseph L. Wright, MD, MPH is the Senior Vice President and Chief Health Equity Officer at the American Academy of Pediatrics. They previously served as Vice President and Chief Health Equity Officer at the University of Maryland Medical System from 2021 to 2023 and held multiple leadership positions at The Hospital for Sick Children and Children's National Health System. Currently, they are also an Adjunct Professor of Health Policy and Management at the University of Maryland School of Public Health. Joseph earned a Doctor of Medicine from Rutgers New Jersey Medical School and holds a Master's in Public Health from The George Washington University.
