Lisa Krams

Manager, Digital & Health IT Quality at AAP

Lisa Krams has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Lisa started their career at Indiana University as a Graduate Supervisor, responsible for training and supervising undergraduate Resident Assistants. Lisa then transitioned to the role of Graduate Assistant at the Alcohol-Drug Information Center, where they developed and implemented student-oriented educational programs.

After their time at Indiana University, Lisa worked as an Activity Therapist at The Larkin Center, where they focused on developing goal-oriented skill-development programs for mentally ill and emotionally disregulated adolescent girls. Lisa also restructured activity therapy programming to emphasize healthy living practices.

Lisa then joined the Lake County Health Department/Community Health Center as a Community Health Specialist, where they worked until 2012. During their time there, they likely contributed to community health initiatives and programs.

In 2005, Lisa started working at Shaw's Crab House as a Host/Maitre D', where they greeted diners and improved customer recognition. Lisa remained in this role until 2012.

In 2012, Lisa joined the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) and held various positions. Lisa started as a Program Coordinator at the Head Start National Center on Health, where they coordinated activities, developed products and materials, and managed budgets and progress reports. Lisa'snext role was Program Manager for Health Information Technology Initiatives, where they promoted improved care for children and families through the development and implementation of pediatric-friendly health IT tools. Currently, Lisa holds the position of Manager of Digital & Health IT Quality at AAP.

Lisa Krams earned a Master of Science (MS) degree in Applied Health Sciences/Health Promotion from Indiana University Bloomington. Lisa attended the university from 2002 to 2005. Prior to that, from 1998 to 2002, Lisa completed their undergraduate studies at Albion College, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Sociology. In addition to their formal education, Lisa also obtained a Professional Certificate in Race, Gender, and Workplace Equity from Catalyst Inc. in May 2022.
