Lisa Patel

Lisa Patel, MD, MESc, is a dedicated health professional with over 25 years of experience at the intersection of climate change and health. Currently serving as the Executive Director at the Medical Society Consortium on Climate and Health and a Clinical Associate Professor at Stanford Children's Health, Patel organizes a network of advocates focused on addressing the health impacts of climate change. Previously, Patel has worked in various roles, including as a Pediatric hospitalist and in leadership positions at the American Academy of Pediatrics, and has contributed significantly to policy development and health education initiatives. Patel obtained a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences from Stanford University, a Master of Environmental Science from Yale University, and a Doctor of Medicine from The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine.
