Alan Kimura has extensive experience in the field of ophthalmology and healthcare leadership, currently serving as Co-Chair of the Health Care Cost & Quality Task Force at the Colorado Medical Society since 2012, and as a member of the Board of Directors for the American Academy of Ophthalmology since 2015. Alan has been involved in various roles including lecturer for the AAO Global Leadership Development Program and previously held the position of Past-President and Partner at Colorado Retina Associates PC until March 2024. Additional contributions include serving as President of the Denver Medical Society from November 2019 to January 2023, Associate Examiner for the American Board of Ophthalmology until February 2024, and leadership roles with the Transforming Clinical Practice Initiative and Colorado Society of Eye Physicians & Surgeons.
