Eric Purdy is currently an Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at the Indiana University School of Medicine. They have extensive experience in ophthalmology, having served as an Ophthalmologist Consultant at the Veterans Hospital in Fort Wayne and an Ophthalmologist at Vision Care Associates. In addition to their clinical roles, Eric has been involved in numerous volunteer missions across the globe, including positions with Project HOPE, Mobile Medical Mission Hospital, and Lions Clubs International, where they directed eye surgery missions in various countries. They are also a Volunteer Ophthalmic Surgeon with Mercy Ships, providing humanitarian care in Africa. Eric's education includes a Doctor of Medicine (MD) from SIU School of Medicine and a fellowship in Orbital, Lacrimal, Ophthalmic Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery from Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine.
