When AAR started operating in 1984, the primary business was evacuation of medical and accident casualties, both by road and air but today it is operates as a facility based health plan provider (FBHPP). It allows members to access services of the hospital, or a clinic for an agreed annual fee which comes with benefits. It’s also noticeable that as an FBHPP we have had consistency in service delivery.

Today we are the largest and most successful private healthcare company with a footprint in the East African region. We operate over twenty-one (21) health centres and clinics in the host countries of Uganda, Tanzania and Kenya, providing preventative, rescue, evacuation and curative health care services.

Our services comply with all medical regulations in all the countries we operate in such as medical practitioners’ and dentists’ boards, nursing councils, pharmaceutical societies, and medical laboratory technicians’ and technologists’ boards. For every disease type, we follow international treatment and management plans. All our medical staff are familiar with these plans. We are also fully compliant with environmental regulations of bodies in the region, especially in terms of medical waste disposal.
