David Synott

David Synott has a diverse range of work experience spanning over two decades. David is currently working at Aareon Group as the UK Head of Development since 2023. Prior to this, they held the role of CTO at Fixflo from October 2021, where they also served as the Head of Development from January 2020 to October 2021. Before joining Fixflo, they worked as a Senior Developer at Fixflo from January 2016 to January 2020.

Apart from their roles in the technology industry, David has also volunteered as a Board Member at England Korfball since 2009, where they were responsible for National Team performance, student programs, and Grand Final delivery. David also served as the Chair of Windrush Triathlon Club from October 2016 to October 2018, leading the club's growth and implementing new systems and initiatives.

Earlier in their career, David worked as the Head of Development at lowcosttravelgroup, where they set up and managed an in-house development team. David also worked at Intuitive Systems as a Client Manager, overseeing the development of e-commerce systems for clients such as Thomas Cook and Lowcost Holidays.

Before that, David was the Director of St George's Research Limited, where they designed and produced online market research solutions for News Group International. David also held the role of Senior Developer at Friends Reunited, where they played a key role in designing and launching the friends reunited dating website. David began their career at CTC Consulting as a Senior Developer, where they started as a pensions admin clerk but quickly transitioned to web development, working on pension administration systems.

David Synott attended Lancaster University from 1993 to 1996, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Mathematics.
