ASC was established in January 2021 as a boutique law firm specialising primarily in corporate and commercial law, mergers & acquisitions, projects and real estate matters. Shortly following our establishment, the firm was recognised by the Legal 500 as “Firm to Watch” for “Corporate, M&A” and “Real Estate”. We have, in October 2022, expanded our practice to include intellectual property, franchise & licensing, and competition law. 

Our Corporate Law department is headed by Aaron Gerard Sankar, who is also the firm’s Managing Partner. Aaron has practiced in two of the largest law firms in Malaysia and has 20 years of experience in handling corporate advisory and transactional matters. he advises a wide range of clients, both domestic and foreign, from various industries. Aaron is ranked by Chambers and Partners (Asia-Pacific) in “Corporate/M&A”. He is also recognised by the IFLR 1000 as a notable practitioner and has been named “next generation lawyer” by Legal 500. Aaron is supported by Christie Wong, who has been with the firm since its establishment and was recently promoted as partner. 

Eunice Chan Wei Lynn heads the firm’s Intellectual Property, Competition & Antitrust department. Prior to joining ASC, Eunice was leading the IP department at one of the largest law firms in Malaysia, where she dealt with contentious & non-contentious IP matters and advised on franchising, licensing, and competition laws. Eunice was ranked by Legal 500 as “Leading Individual” for IP and recognized for competition and antitrust. She is also ranked by Chambers and Partners (Asia-Pacific) as “Up and Coming”. Eunice is supported by associate, Azmeena Azhar, and a team of experienced support staff.
