Laura Bailey

Laura Bailey has extensive work experience in the banking and finance industry. Laura currently serves as an Independent Director on the Strategy Committee at Goodwin Living since 2022 and at The Aaron's Company, Inc. since 2021, where they are also a member of the Audit Committee and Nominations and Governance Committee.

Previously, Laura worked at Capital One from 2006 to 2021, holding various roles such as Senior Vice President of Community Impact & Investing, Senior Vice President of Community Finance, and Managing Vice President. Laura'sresponsibilities at Capital One included leading community-focused initiatives, managing loan portfolios, and overseeing philanthropy efforts.

Before their time at Capital One, Laura worked at Bank of America from 1999 to 2006 as a Regional Executive, and at JPMorgan Chase Bank N. A. from 1992 to 1999 as a Vice President in Corporate Banking and Community Development. Laura'sresponsibilities at both institutions included managing community development banking, portfolio management, and real estate lending programs.

Overall, Laura brings a wealth of experience in community impact, finance, and strategy to their current and previous roles.

Laura Bailey obtained a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations and Affairs from the University of Pennsylvania from 1978 to 1982. During the same time period, they also earned a Bachelor of Science in Economics from The Wharton School with a focus on Finance. In addition to their degrees, Laura has obtained several certifications, including the NACD Directorship Certification®: Finance from the National Association of Corporate Directors in February 2023, the Sustainability and Climate Risk Certification from the Global Association of Risk Professionals in November 2022, and the NACD Directorship Certification® from the National Association of Corporate Directors in August 2021.
