Bob De Schutter

Bob De Schutter (MFA, PhD) is an award-winning professor, game designer, and researcher focused on age-friendly games. Currently a Full Professor of Game Design at Northeastern University, Bob coordinates the graduate program in Game Science and Design and conducts research on the contributions of innovative game design for older adults. With a portfolio that includes the acclaimed biographical game Brukel, Bob has been a prominent advocate for meaningful play in later life and has delivered presentations at major industry events worldwide. Previously, Bob held positions as a C. Michael Armstrong Professor of Applied Game Design at Miami University and as a researcher at KU Leuven, among other roles.
