Brad Anderson

State Director at AARP

Brad Anderson is an experienced political and communications professional currently serving as the State Director for AARP since June 2018 and as Of Counsel for Precision Strategies since July 2016. At Precision Strategies, Brad has led comprehensive projects in communications, digital strategy, data analytics, and paid media, notably chairing the Iowa's Water and Land Legacy coalition to secure bipartisan funding for the Natural Resources & Outdoor Recreation Trust Fund. Previously, as a Partner at Link Strategies from 2003 to 2016, Brad managed research and communications for diverse clients, directed Governor Culver's successful 2006 gubernatorial campaign, and spearheaded impactful ballot initiatives. Additionally, Brad was the Iowa State Director for Obama for America during the 2012 election cycle, focusing on voter turnout and volunteer mobilization. Brad holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Government from North Carolina State University, earned between 1993 and 1997.
