Christina Clem

Christina Clem has extensive experience in communications and community outreach, currently serving as Associate State Director, Communications at AARP since December 2003. In this role, Christina researches and prepares written testimony and issue briefings to support AARP’s legislative agenda and employs new technologies for virtual training of volunteers. Previously, Christina led communication efforts in the Sacramento and San Francisco metro markets, coordinated press events, and managed a volunteer speakers bureau. Prior to AARP, Christina worked as a Staff Services Analyst for the California Department of Justice, providing communication support for the California Attorney General and producing a monthly newsletter for DOJ employees. Christina holds a Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations from California State University-Sacramento and an Associate of Arts Degree in Communication Studies from San Joaquin Delta College.
