Jackie Gil

Jackie Gil is an experienced communications professional currently serving as the Associate State Director of Communications for AARP in Texas since February 2024. With a diverse background in media and public relations, Jackie previously held multiple roles at the Metropolitan Transit Authority of Harris County, including Talk Show Host, Media Specialist, and Communications Special Projects Manager, where responsibilities encompassed producing and hosting shows, strategic communication planning, and bilingual spokesperson duties. Additional experience includes creative direction and project management at Gilaxy Studios, public relations work at Lopez Marketing Group, co-producing a feature film with Adelante Productions, and reporting roles at various television stations. Jackie holds a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Spanish from the University of Houston.
