John Griffin

John Griffin, CPA, CGMA, is the Senior Vice President and Controller at AARP, a position held since 2003. With a strong background in non-profit finance and leadership development, they have also served in various board roles, including Board Chair and President at the Greater Washington Society of CPAs and Treasurer at World Relief. Earlier in their career, Griffin worked in positions such as Controller for The Salvation Army and Director of Corporate Finance at the National Geographic Society. They hold a BS in Accounting from George Mason University and are currently participating in the AgL Leadership Program at Georgetown University McDonough School of Business.
