Jose Hernandez

Jose Hernandez serves as the Vice President of IT - Business Operations at AARP, where responsibilities include overseeing the technology organization’s governance, cost optimization, resource allocation, and innovation strategies since August 2013. Previously, Jose held key positions at Sears Holdings Corporation, directing enterprise-wide IT Services Strategy and leading IT for a retail services installation business unit. At Motorola Mobility, leadership spanned multiple global IT organizations, focusing on service strategy and solution architecture. An earlier tenure at Arthur Andersen LLP involved consulting on business process design and ERP system implementations. Jose’s education includes a Certificate of Management Excellence from Harvard Business School, an Executive Education Certificate in Leadership Development from Georgetown University, a BS in Accounting/MIS from Barry University, and a Master of Science in Business Analytics from Georgetown University.
