Josh Askvig

Josh Askvig is an experienced professional currently serving as the State Director for AARP in North Dakota since September 2011, leading efforts to empower individuals aged 50 and older through education, outreach, and advocacy. Prior to this role, Josh served as the Associate State Director for Advocacy at AARP, directly engaging with over 83,000 members to enhance their quality of life. From June 2010 to June 2018, Josh was a City Commissioner for the City of Bismarck, where leadership included a term as Vice President of the Commission. Additionally, Josh worked as the UniServ Director for NDEA from November 2006 to September 2011. Educational credentials include a Master’s degree in Political Management from The George Washington University and a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Dickinson State University.
