Katie Squires is an accomplished professional in the field of gerontology and advocacy, currently serving as Associate State Director of Advocacy at AARP since March 2021. Previously, Katie held the position of Director of Senior Services/Lifelong Montclair from July 2016 to March 2021 and served as Project Director for Lifelong Montclair's Aging in Place Initiative from February 2014 to July 2016. Early in her career, Katie was a Benefit Specialist at Legal Aid of the Bluegrass and contributed as a research assistant focused on the Kentucky Aging Workforce Study while pursuing a PhD in Gerontology at the University of Kentucky. Katie’s extensive educational background includes a Master of Business Administration from Isenberg School of Management, a Graduate Certificate in Developmental Disabilities, and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Haverford College.
