Lina Walker

Senior Vice President, Global Thought Leadership

Lina Walker serves as the Senior Vice President of Global Thought Leadership at AARP, a position held since January 2009, leading efforts to address emerging global trends and fostering strategic partnerships for improved quality of life. Previously, Lina held multiple roles at AARP, including Interim Senior Vice President, Vice President of Health Security in the Public Policy Institute, Director of Health Policy, and Senior Strategic Policy Advisor for Long-Term Care, focusing on health care access and policy issues for older adults. Prior experience includes directing research at The Brookings Institution on retirement security and serving as an economist at the Congressional Budget Office, where Lina analyzed Medicare and Social Security finances. Lina holds a Ph.D. and a Master's degree in Economics from the University of Michigan.
