Misty Williams

Misty Williams is a seasoned journalist with extensive experience in health care policy. Currently serving as Senior Editor for State News at AARP Bulletin since December 2018, Misty also holds the position of Interim Senior Policy Advisor for Medicaid at the AARP Public Policy Institute. Prior experience includes roles as Staff Writer for Health Care Policy at CQ and Editor/Writer for Health Care Policy at the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, where coverage focused on the Affordable Care Act and Medicaid expansion. Additional experience includes serving as Industry Focus Editor at the Atlanta Business Chronicle and as a Real Estate Reporter at both East Valley Tribune and The Bakersfield Californian, highlighting critical issues in real estate and finance. Misty holds a BA in Journalism/Mass Communication from California State University, Fresno.
