Nora Duncan

Nora Duncan serves as the State Director for AARP CT since July 2012, providing strategic leadership to an office comprising 7 full-time staff and over 150 volunteers, with a focus on community education, advocacy, and engagement for individuals aged 50 and older in Connecticut. As the owner of Public Affairs Professionals Linking In Connecticut, Duncan facilitates connections among professionals in public affairs. Previous roles include Executive Director of The Arc Connecticut, where notable achievements included financial recovery and enhanced advocacy efforts, and Legislative Program Manager for the State of CT Department of Public Works, directing legislative interactions. Other positions held encompass Policy & Legislative Affairs Liaison for Governor M. Jodi Rell's office, Public Policy Director at CT Association of Nonprofits, and Project Director for the CT Nonprofit Human Services Cabinet. Duncan holds a BA from the University of Connecticut and is an alumna of Bloomfield High School.
