Robert Lyons

Robert Lyons is currently an Outreach Manager for AARP Iowa, advocating for livable communities and championing rural America. With a background in public service, they previously held the position of Chief of Staff for the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Rural Business-Cooperative Service and Rural Housing Service, where they demonstrated leadership skills by managing substantial programs and engaging with stakeholders. They have extensive experience in project management, coalition building, and stakeholder engagement, complemented by their involvement in community-oriented organizations like Rotary and Kiwanis. A graduate of American University, they have also contributed to various campaigns and initiatives focused on civic engagement and community development throughout their career.
