Sam Wilson is an experienced professional with a long tenure at AARP, serving as Regional Vice President, State Director, and in Advocacy roles since September 2001. Prior to AARP, Sam Wilson worked as a Research Assistant for U.S. Senator Tim Johnson from 1999 to 2001. Sam Wilson's educational background includes participation in the LeadUP Executive Leadership Program at the University of Virginia Darden School of Business and coursework at Georgetown University McDonough School of Business. Additionally, Sam Wilson holds a Master of Arts in Government from The Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor of Arts in Zoology and Political Science from the University of Hawaii at Manoa.
