Sharon Xu

Sharon Xu is a seasoned professional in the field of data science, currently serving as the Senior Director of Data Science at AARP since January 2016. In this role, Sharon manages a data science team focused on building machine learning models, conducting attribution and incrementality analyses, and developing AI personalization recommendation systems. Previous experience includes positions as a Senior Manager and Senior Data Science Advisor at AARP, where responsibilities encompassed predictive modeling, market targeting, and digital behavioral analytics. Prior to AARP, Sharon worked as a Senior Data Scientist at Nielsen and as a Research Analyst at TMNcorp. Academic foundations include a Ph.D. in Transportation Engineering from the University of Maryland, highlighting expertise in predictive modeling, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from Southeast University in Nanjing, China.
