William Rivera

William Rivera is an experienced legal professional currently serving as Senior Vice President of Litigation at AARP Foundation since December 2015, where leadership of a team advocating for the rights of individuals aged 50 and older is key to addressing various legal issues. Additionally, William serves as a faculty member at the National Institute for Trial Advocacy, teaching trial and deposition skills to lawyers. As Director of the Lois Roth Endowment for Cultural Exchange and Diplomacy, efforts focus on fostering international understanding through support of cultural exchanges. Previous roles include serving on the D.C. Bar's Nominations Committee and the Benefits Editorial Advisory Board for Law360, along with extensive experience in U.S. government legal roles, including Deputy Chief Counsel at the Department of Health and Human Services. William's educational background includes a JD from Stanford Law School and advanced studies in business and public policy from prestigious institutions.
