Johan Heyns

Johan Heyns possesses extensive experience in engineering and analytics, with a strong focus on computational modeling and portfolio optimization. At WesBank, Johan developed a framework for credit risk assessment using Python. As the Multiphysics Modelling Lead Engineer at Ex Mente, Johan contributed to the understanding of pyrometallurgical processes. Johan's academic background includes a PhD in Computational Fluid Dynamics and an MSc in Mechanical Engineering, both from the University of Stellenbosch, and a BEng in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Pretoria. Currently, Johan serves as a Field Consultant at Ab Initio Software and has previously held a Senior Researcher position at the CSIR, specializing in numerical flow solutions for the aerospace and defense sectors.
