Dan Fitzgerald

Dan Fitzgerald has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Dan currently holds the position of Technical Director / Chief Engineer at Abaco Systems, Inc. since September 2020. Prior to that, they served as a Principal Software Engineer at the same company from September 2016 to September 2020, and as a Senior Staff Software Engineer from December 2015 to September 2016.

Before joining Abaco Systems, Inc., Dan worked at GE Intelligent Platforms from 2009 to 2015. Dan held the position of Staff Software Engineer from 2013 to 2015, Senior Software Engineer from 2011 to 2013, and Lead Software Engineer from 2009 to 2011.

Dan's earlier experience includes roles at GE Fanuc as a Lead Software Engineer from 2007 to 2009, at Radstone Technology as a Principle Software Engineer from 2003 to 2007, at Maple Optical Systems as a Principle Software Engineer from 2001 to 2003, at Marconi Communications as a Principle Software Engineer / Team Leader from 1998 to 2001, and finally at GPT as a Principle Software Engineer / Team Leader from 1995 to 1998.

Dan Fitzgerald earned a Bachelor of Science (Honors) degree in Mathematics from the University of Warwick, where they studied from 1991 to 1994. Following this, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Software Engineering at the University of Nottingham from 1994 to 1995.
