Craig Bowles

Craig Bowles has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Craig started their career as a Year in Industry Student at Xyratex, where they assisted a project manager with various tasks. Following this, they worked as a Service Support Technician within the Information Services department at Xyratex, where they supported over 900 employees and performed tasks such as building desktops and laptops.

After completing their degree, Craig returned to Xyratex as a System Support Engineer, supporting over 80 servers on-site and 150 worldwide. Their responsibilities included domain administration, basic domain tasks, configuring Active Directory, and DNS and DHCP changes. Craig also worked as a Network Security Engineer at Xyratex, playing a key role in creating a two-year roadmap for data and asset security. Craig completed noticeable projects like replacing antivirus software for desktops, laptops, and servers.

Additionally, Craig gained experience as a 2nd Level Support at Cardno, providing IT support to over 500 on-site employees and 200 employees in remote offices. Craig supported Windows XP, Microsoft Office, Cisco Voice, Unified Comms, and engineering applications.

Craig further advanced their career as a System Specialist at QSuper Limited, where they worked for five years.

Most recently, Craig held the position of Senior Systems Engineer at Abacus Group, where they are currently employed.

Craig Bowles completed their secondary education at Bayhouse Secondary School from 1994 to 1999, where they studied various subjects including Science, Mathematics, Electronics, English Language, English Literature, French, and Business Studies. Craig then attended Bayhouse Sixth Form from 1999 to 2001, where they focused on Computing, Maths with Mechanics, and Physics. Lastly, Craig pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Internet Application Development at the University of Portsmouth from 2002 to 2006.
