Alex Bazhinov

Alex Bazhinov currently serves as the Head of Energy Management at ABB since January 2025. Prior to this role, Alex was the Founder and President, as well as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Executive Officer at Lumin, an energy optimization platform acquired by ABB, from January 2019 to January 2025. Before Lumin, Alex held the position of Chief Sustainability Officer at Affinity Management from October 2016 to December 2018 and founded DreamPower LLC, leading it as Chief Executive Officer from May 2014 to September 2016, focusing on renewable energy implementation for small and medium-sized businesses. Earlier experience includes serving as Chief Financial Officer and Business Controller at Sandvik Mining and Construction CIS from August 2011 to November 2012, where Alex managed financial reporting and compliance. Alex holds an MBA from the University of Virginia Darden School of Business and a master’s degree from the State University — Higher School of Economics.
