Andrea Rota is the R&D team leader for Medium Voltage switchgear at ABB, where they guide an R&D team within the Electrification Distribution Solutions Division in Italy. Previously, they served as Project Manager and Product Manager for the development of a new product line at ABB from 2015 to 2018, leading a global team to create a medium voltage circuit breaker family. Their earlier experience includes project engineering management at SMI S.p.a. and internships at Ferrari and Hilti, where they focused on design and technology development. Andrea holds a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Politecnico di Milano, with an exchange at Chalmers University of Technology and is a Unitech Fellow.
